Inland Revenue #NewZealand: here’s how data is key to driving #digitaltransformation

Over the last seven years, Inland Revenue NZ has undergone a NZ$1.3 billion programme to improve its #digitalservices, boost compliance, and save taxpayers’ money.

According to the agency’s 3data and analytics chief Tina MacLean, the digital transformation program focused on “people, platform, process, and policy” at the same time.

How was that possible?
Through the intelligent use of the data.

The agency implemented a data intelligence platform and quickly established the operability of the new technology, which was achieved within three months.

Tina MacLean says, “We don’t think of ourselves as cutting edge…But, I feel proud to be spending taxpayers’ money wisely. We’re making a difference. And that is so rewarding.”
