Increased cybercrimes risk undermining trust in South African government services.

South Africa is the most developed and industrialised country on the African continent, and as such, it is an attractive target for cybercriminals.

Interpol’s 2021 African cyber threat assessment report found that the country leads the way in all categories of cyberattacks.

These criminal activities undermine trust in government services and citizens’ confidence in the digital economy and society.

They really threaten this country’s progress by undermining trust in government services and business transactions, which are vital to continued economic expansion.
