New Zealand's Biosecurity System Gets a Boost

The government in New Zealand is investing $4 million in the next four years to expand a biosecurity readiness and response app developed by a private company.

The biosecurity software will use data from various sources to map out potential disease pathways faster than the country has ever had.

This will presumably save New Zealand hundreds of millions of dollars as it helps speed up the response.

Since the foundation of New Zealand’s economy is agricultural commodities, the government is aiding its development by digitising operations and accelerating productivity.
