Governments play a massive role in using smart #digitaltechnologies to drive #smartcity objectives

Smart cities are not a thing of the future. Thanks to advanced technologies and IoT solutions, governments are able to improve the infrastructure, efficiency, and quality of life for their citizens.

However, according to the G20 Global Smart Cities Alliance (GSCA), there are several governance gaps worldwide that need to be addressed.

Emerging technologies pose a new range of challenges, causing transparency and the trust issues of the public in their respective governments.
