Dominican Republic launches National Assessment

Earlier this year, The Dominican Republic launched its national assessment using the IUI framework. This national assessment represents an important step toward creating the country’s Internet that is inclusive and accessible to all, respects human rights, and is governed by a multi-stakeholder approach.

By conducting this assessment, the Dominican Republic aims to identify areas for improvement in its policies related to its digital transformation. UNESCO supports the Internet Universality ROAM-X indicators in 44 countries across five continents including six in Latin America. The findings of this study in the Dominican Republic will provide valuable information about the ICT sector and will help to monitor and analyze the advancement and evolution of digital technologies in the country.
