Despite the many challenges COVID-19 created, it has also pushed governments worldwide to accelerate their #digitalefforts.

For instance, in Southern California, officials have worked to implement programs and partnerships that increase access to #digitaldevices and services as well as #digitalliteracy.

All of them are fundamental components of digital equity. After all, #technology shouldn’t only provide access to an Internet-connected device but also enable individuals to use it to improve their quality of life.

But since the #digitaldivide is a very multidimensional problem, interconnected with other socio-economic issues, it is very important for the government to work with different partners entities to reach true digital equity.
