How can #Canada support indigenous entrepreneurs through #digitaltraining?
According to Bull, president and chief executive officer of the Canadian Council for Aboriginal Businesses (CCAB), 70% of indigenous entrepreneurs needed access to capital during the pandemic, but only about 50% applied.
There are several reasons for this hesitation: barriers to applications, lack of awareness, or a previous relationship with a traditional financial institution.
Thus, one way to empower these young entrepreneurs is by offering digital training because #digitalskills are a must in this day and age.
This knowledge will help them to continue to grow and be productive members of their community later on.
#Digitaltechnology is constantly evolving, and it is vital to get future generations interested and involved with using these new technologies, such as artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning, to further build upon their skill sets.
