Serbia’s Digital Transformation

Prime Minister Ana Brnabic addressed the conference on Serbia’s digital transition, together with Secretary General of the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) Mathias Cormann and Head of the Delegation of the European Union to Serbia Emanuele Giaufret.

Referring to the economic situation, it was pointed out that Serbia has achieved impressive growth, despite the challenges in the European economy, with a special emphasis on the construction and information and communication technology sectors. It is important to continue to support Serbia in the process of digital transition with joint efforts, bearing in mind that it creates new opportunities for the economic and scientific development of the country.

Saint Vincent and the Grenadines Digital Transformation

The Government of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines (SVG) is investing in digital transformation for the smooth and effective delivery of public services through the Caribbean Digital Transformation Program (CARDTP).

The Caribbean Digital Transformation Project is a US$28 million project financed by the World Bank Group. The Commonwealth of Dominica, Grenada, Saint Lucia and Saint Vincent and the Grenadines are all participating countries. The project will also assess the digital economy ecosystem (including digital infrastructure, platforms, payments, ect.) in Saint Vincent and the Grenadines and draft a National Digital Economy Development Strategy.

Rwanda’s Economy Digitalisation Programme

The Rwanda Economy Digitalisation Programme is an initiative to support a sustained shift to an inclusive, digitalised economy. Cenfri works with policymakers and private sector decision-makers by leveraging insights from data analysis to improve decision-making, catalyse innovation, and ultimately, improve livelihoods.

The programme, which is hosted by Cenfri, is driven by a partnership with the Government of Rwanda and the Mastercard Foundation. It builds on initial analysis of digital payments trends and behavior as a window into the digitalisation of the broader economy.

Moldova’s Digital Economy Roadmap

The roadmap for the digital economy of Moldova has been updated. The roadmap promotes government-to-business (G2B) online interaction, digitalisation of the economy, and eCommerce infrastructure.

The Digital Economy Roadmap represents the agenda of the Advisory Council for Digitalisation of the Economy under the Prime Minister of Moldova. The update was discussed during an Advisory Council meeting. The head of the Information Society and Digital Economy Directorate within the Ministry of Economy, mentioned that, after the approval of the national digitalisation strategy for the years 2023-2030, a dedicated programme for digitalisation of the national economy will be developed.
